Hi, I'm Bianca, born and raised in Southern Africa (Zimbabwe). Growing up I was inspired by my mom, aunts and grandma who all loved to create beautiful spaces and objects by decorating homes, sewing, knitting, making baskets, pottery and so much more.
Even though at the time it didn't register as a blessing, it still stuck with me and I'm so grateful for all the teachings, I learnt so much from them. Yes, I was that kid that wanted to help with all the creative stuff and never wanted to play outside haha!! Well, I loved watching and learning as my aunt selected different textures of fabric, I would watch her sew, install wallpaper, choose paint colors, coordinate it all and come up with something amazing all the time. I always joke that if she was in this part of the world then, she would have been as amazing as Martha Stewart.
I moved to Canada at the age of 21 and have been here for the last 19yrs. I had a beautiful baby girl in 2002 and she inspires and motivates me every single day to be a better person. We also have the loveliest and cutest Havanese puppy we love so much, we named him "Muffin" (blame my daughter for the name lol). He has changed the way I view a lot of things and makes us both extremely happy, there's never a dull moment with him in my lives.
I have a passion for creating functional and beautiful spaces everywhere I go. I'm a bit of an introvert and enjoy working on my crafts with my cup of tea or a glass of wine. I am a very hands on person and I don't feel good when I have nothing to do. During my spare time I'm always redecorating, creating something, gardening, painting, upcycling vintage furniture to make my space or someone else's more pleasing to the eye. So in short I'm always designing or decorating something and I would not trade it for anything!!
Over the years I have owned event decor business for 9 years, worked for diverse companies from Accounting, Real Estate to Home builders and I'm extremely grateful for the opportunities and learnt so much. With time I realized that was not for me, I decorate and design, that's me. So with that realization I took Design and Marketing courses to help me understand the business side of things and that has led me to where I am today. In my industry education never stops, there is always something interesting to learn. I love what I do and I'm glad all my clients have been pleased with all the projects I've worked on so far. I certainly hope to continue to share my passion with more clients in the future and turn their dreams and mine into a reality. :)
